The role of hydration status in glycaemic control and appetite regulation
Despite water being the most abundant molecule in the body, there is surprisingly little research investigating how every day fluctuations in hydration status impact health. This presentation aims to introduce recent research investigating the role of hydration status in glycaemic control and appetite regulation, along with the underpinning theory as to why hydration state may impact these health markers. Whilst the Webinar will focus primarily on the speakers’ recent research, these findings will be placed in the context of previous studies in this novel and emerging field. The potential implications and practical applications of the findings will also be considered.
