Bergen Summer Research School is an annual cross-disciplinary research school for PhD students and junior researchers. Over the years, we have put focus on some of the major global challenges of our time. For 2018, we are offering six disciplinary courses focusing on priority settings in global health; global food insecurity; cultural heritage in the digital age; food security and the oceans, rights as political tools; and ecology and ethics. The courses are tied together by common sessions on cross-disciplanary issues, research tools, writing and presentation skills, keynotes by high-profile researchers, plenary discussions, and an excursion into the Norwegian waterscape.
Application deadline is February 15, 2018.
